Tandamata was founded in the spirit of giving. This spirit is embodied in twofold: towards our customers and towards our partners.

Giving to (and from) our customers

We fully realize how tricky it is to find gifts for people you truly care about. If you’re lucky, you find a gift right on time for their birthdays, wedding, anniversary, etc. However, if you’re anything like our founders, the right gifts do not come easily. You may end up buying something not quite suitable because you’re pressed for time or budget.

At Tandamata, we put together a selection for you. Our curators carefully select brands and products that we feel will make decent presents. These items are not necessarily expensive, but they are the things we will be very happy to receive had someone given them to us. It was rather a challenge not to buy everything for ourselves during the curation process. With Tandamata, we hope to make the act of giving more pleasurable for our users and satisfying for the recipients.

We treat the sellers on Tandamata as partners, with the goodwill of lending supports and knowledge between each other. Our partners are invited to Tandamata not only based on their nice products, but also on their commitments to producing high quality items. There are so many small creators, small businesses, artisans, and home industries with lovely products in Indonesia. Not everyone has the means to establish a store and market their goods extensively. This is where Tandamata comes in. We strive to support such creators, crafters, and businesses by providing the media to do so at a very reasonable cost and timely disbursement. Tandamata is not alone in this. Several big, more established brands have also graciously joined Tandamata to lend their credibility and support their smaller counterparts.
